Our Fee Structure.
In most cases, in
order to provide our clients with the fairest and most affordable services
and products, our fees are structured on a "project" basis, which
eliminates the endlessly ticking clock that many "consultant" are known
for. We strive to complete each project in the most effective
manner, and at the best price for the client and BPS.
Although every client's situation and needs differ to some degree,
typically, we charge our clients on a "flat fee" basis for our time
involvement in the process of developing and producing specific plans or
document products. Flat fees are based upon our estimate of project
completion for a stated scope of work, and are based upon our long time
experience in developing, producing, and completing specific types of
projects within a reasonable time. Whatever our time involvement in
a project turns out to be, the contracted flat fee is the
project fee for the contracted scope of work.
Project Expenses.
In addition to our
flat fee, for almost every project engagement, there are standard
project-related expenses associated with development of the
client's draft and final documents. These expenses typically include costs
for materials and production related expenses (such as draft and
presentation paper, covers, copying, printing, binding, photo development,
etc.), postage, delivery, telephone expense, and handling fees.
Whenever BPS personnel are required to travel to client's site ("on-site
visit") as part of the project engagement, the client is responsible for
our expenses associated with travel, lodging, and per diem. In most cases,
in order to control such costs, we prefer that our clients facilitate the
travel arrangements, in advance.
All project-related and travel expenses are charged to the client in
addition to the project's flat fee, and are billed at cost to the
client, without markup.
Our Professional Services Agreement.
All client
engagements are subject to the terms of our standard Professional
Services Agreement. With respect to our engagement terms; We require
that an executed Agreement and a minimum retainer (typically
calculated at 60% of total project fees, plus on-site visit expense) must
be received by BPS in order to commence work on each project. In some
cases, we bill on a progress basis. In all cases, balance of fees and
project expenses are due prior to shipment of final products. |
